A gaijin shopping for beer at a konbini has been served by another gaijin.
“It just felt wrong – I didn’t know whether to speak in English or Japanese,” said 7-years-a-gaijin Tony Anderson.
Anderson finally had a taste of what it’s like living inside a Japanese person’s body.
“Now I know what it’s like to be Japanese, I realize exactly how it feels to unexpectedly come across a gaijin.”
“And to be honest I immediately felt peckish for a bit of white rice.”
Anderson says he feels like a changed man.
“You know what? I would probably speak English to me too.”
Anderson will return to complaining about people speaking to him in English in a few days.
