Rep. Bob Brady collected a “holy” water sample from a toilet outside Congress used by the pope on Thursday.
Brady brought the sample back to his office in a glass and shared the “magical” water with his wife, a friend, and another staffer.

Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey, together with his wife, mother and Rep. Joe Crawley also joined in, but couldn’t bring themselves to second-hand sip from the glass. They instead dunked their fingers in the glass and “blessed themselves”.
There is some debate whether the water is indeed holy but the U.S. lawmaker is confident any water molecules that have had some direct contact with any bodily fluids from an elderly man elected by a group of cardinals has special powers.
“I saw the pope head for the bathroom and I thought it would be a great idea for me to have a sacred glass of urinal water,” Brady told reporters.

“I just saw the urinal, grabbed a glass, and scooped some water out.”
The pope’s post-urination water sample will be proudly displayed in Brady’s Pennsylvania home, and he hopes to pass it on to his grandchildren.
