A tourist travelling around Tokyo has spent most of yesterday evening searching for birds at the local train station.
“There it is,” said 63-year-old traveller Aaron Condon.
“There it is again.”
The rare station bird is a highly evasive species and usually heard most distinctly near stairs and escalators.
“It’s almost the exact same chirp every time – incredible,” said Condon.
“It’s as if it’s just a recording on repeat.”
