Tokyo Governor Yoichi Masuzoe has apologized for misusing public funds via live feed from Hawaii.
“I used public funds for online shopping and I’m sorry I was caught,” said Masuzoe after sipping a pina colada in a pineapple.
The thrill of the auction chase was intensified given it was being paid for with other people’s money.
“This flower neck garland was only 300 yen, personally I would have paid at least 700 yen for it.”
“We really did get some fantastic deals.”
