The mysterious worlds of Oscar-winning animator Hayao Miyazaki will become a reality with the Studio Ghibli Theme Park set to open just outside Nagoya City in 2022.
Studio Ghibli has released a basic concept for the enormous park, which will feature rides and forest trails, including “My Neighbor Totoro”, “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, “Howl’s Moving Castle”, and “Why Is Ghibli Spelt With A ‘Gh’”.
“I can’t wait to have a go at the ‘Why Is Ghibli Spelt With A ‘Gh’’ ride,” says long-term Osaka resident Julia Gilbert.
“It’s been giving me the shits for decades.”
Aichi government officials say customers from Tokyo will be able to travel to the park free of charge with cat buses departing daily from the nation’s capital.

In case anyone is actually interested it’s the name of an Italian plane. It is pronounced how you think it is pronounced, Miyazaki himself admitted to making the mistake with pronunciation, but it had already stuck.
