After an extended absence, salaryman Naoto Takahashi has returned home to his company.
“Tadaima,” Takahashi-san said as he entered the office building.
“Okaerinasai, welcome back to your home,” Takahashi-san was greeted by secretarial staff.
Takahashi-san was missed so much that he was asked if he could remain at home for a few extra hours later in the evening.
Takahashi tried to say ‘sore wa chotto’, but was dealt a nasty guilt trip by a close colleague who said she would stay back despite having a serious case of Stockholm syndrome.
Stockholm syndrome is a condition that causes hostages to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity.
Takahashi-san will stay at home until around 9 p.m. this evening.
