A man has been sighted chugging down one liter of orange juice in a park in Osaka.
“He’s drinking it with a straw,” says 2-years-a-girljin Sara Higgins.
“Who drinks one liter of anything with a straw?”
The act of drinking a full liter of liquid with a straw in Japan is a way of warning others to “back the hell off”, and “this is my goddamn one liter of jyuusu”.
The carton of orange juice being drunk in a park was an ordinary, stock standard 7-Eleven branded jyuusu.
“I mean, the whole 1,000 milliliters would have cost him a measly 108 yen, surely he could have at least given off the aura that he was willing to share.”
