Mixed blood Haitian-Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka has defeated Serena Williams in the US Open final to become Japanese-Haitian.
Osaka won the match as a result of blatant sexism against Serena Williams.
“Osaka has now done enough to be labelled Japanese-Haitian,” said NHK sports reporter Soude Sune.
“She will never be fully Japanese.”
Osaka’s parents were clever enough to give their child a name that is both prevalent in English and the Japanese language.
“Omedeto! Naomi-chan!” said one Twitter commenter; not fully realizing Naomi-chan is a bastardized version of the English name Naomi.
Osaka was booed as she arrived at the airport for her flight back to Osaka.
