The word “Roppongi” has just been uttered amongst a group of foreign residents drinking at their local izakaya in Tokyo.
They were all thinking it but Matt-san was the first to verbalise the R-word shortly after sunset.
The group initially responded by claiming Roppongi was “lame” in order to make themselves feel a bit better for at least pretending to avoid making the journey in.
“Oh, okay then, one more time for old time’s sake,” Matt-san’s friend said after taking his shot of tequila knowing full well it won’t be the last time.
The night is expected to become a bit of a blur after the lads change over to the Oedo Line.
